I bought Mignonette on iTunes the other day, so now I have three of their albums to keep on repeat. All the time. I love The Weight of Lies. But my two favorites right now are The New Love Song and Signs.

I also just discovered Adele. Where have I been, right? I don't like all of her songs, but I do adore a few. Rolling in the Deep seriously makes me want to dance. Like 60s dance, which is a little scary. And I love Set Fire to the Rain.

~KristinKristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10592919145644124930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5157829453707942005.post-41953948657340772722011-08-26T15:27:52.463-04:002011-08-26T15:27:52.463-04:00Mmmmmm I love this post. I'm super psyched about their new album.

I've been really loving some super-sad Ray Lamontagne and Fiction Family songs lately. Especially this one: http://youtu.be/at4_ecByckU There are better recordings of it on YouTube, but this one's got Sara Watkins on violin (catching a theme here?) :) My favorite line in this song is the part where he tells of "falling in what I now would call your bluff... please don't call it love."
Don't worry. My super-sad playlist isn't a cry for help, it's just that pretty :)Ashleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06679366486721110678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5157829453707942005.post-27829258057571143652011-08-26T15:24:31.258-04:002011-08-26T15:24:31.258-04:00I did what you said. I've listened to it over and over these past few weeks.

I love England, the song, that is. London, and England, are like fairy tales themselves. Magical places.

There's a verse in a Death Cab song that has been playing repeatedly in my head this week. It goes like this,

"If you feel just like a tourist in the city you were born,
then it's time to go and define your destination,
there are so many different places to call home."

I think those lines speak so much.

(long rambling comment= over.)Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15621035657138624998noreply@blogger.com
